13 May Small Business Assistance Fund
The small business assistance fund is Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young and the City of Baltimore’s $5.5 million fund to provide financial assistance to small businesses and support initiatives to help businesses reopen, once it is safe to do so. The fund will be allocated in the following manner:
“Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC) launched its Small Business Assistance Fund, a $3.5M grant program designed to aid Baltimore City businesses who have not been able to secure COVID-19 relief funding. This discretionary grant program is NOT first-come/first serve, and will be accepting applications from now until May 15, 2020. Applications will be assessed by need, with preference shown to businesses that are minority and/or women-owned and which are located in a Baltimore City Main Street (and/or Retail Business District). ” (BDC,2020)
